DAY USE SHELTER USERS: Day use hours, which include picnic shelters, are 8:00 a.m. to sunset. Please refer to list of amenities at shelter sites listed in “Site Details.” Restrooms and dumpsters provided at each shelter. Lambs Creek Recreation Area has a carry in carry out trash receptacle policy. Please do not attach signs, balloons, streamer, etc., to any signs in the recreation area. It is the responsibility of the site holder to return any picnic tables removed from the shelter before departing the facility. Set up of tents, chairs, or other items may require a special use permit. Contact the project office at 570-835-5281 for additional information. Do not drive vehicles to shelters, please contact project office if you have an access problem. Please bring your confirmation letter the day of your reservation. Please obey all speed limits. Drive carefully and watch for children. Pets are permitted but must be penned, caged, on a leash under six feet in length or otherwise be physically restrained. Many miles of hiking trails surround the lake, including the Mid State Trail, which links the trails at Cowanesque and nearby Hammond Lake into a long path that extends all the way through Pennsylvania from Maryland to New York. |
